The invention relates to a method of making a silane-modified ethylenic resin by reacting a silane compound with an ethylenic resin. In the method of the invention the reaction is carried out by melt-kneading in the presence of zinc oxide.
<??>The silane-modified resins thus produced are more stable and have better mouldability than resins produced in the absence of zinc oxide; the latter resins tending to cross-link in the presence of atmospheric moisture.
