The multimeter rotatable switch has a part which has two diametrically opposite projections (4, 5) carried on an annular part (2) of a plastics material cam (1). The cam has another part having a central zone (6) carrying a grooved axis (7) which drives rotating parts. The central zone (6) is connected to the annular part by two arms (8, 9) arranged along a second diametral line perpendicular to the line (7) of the projection. Each sector of the annular part connecting a projection (4 or 5) to the end of an arm (8 or 9) has an undulating shape (11) designed to produce the required radial force on each projection.
