PURPOSE:To efficiently discriminate paper leaves by comparing and collating standard pattern information and pattern information made based on the signal from a certified pattern observing means. CONSTITUTION:In a control part 5, the account number being the output of a code reader 4 is converted to the address of a file memory 8 and a group of information assigned by the address is read out in a buffer memory 9. In a collating part 7, collating action is started by the instruction of the control part 5 and the output pattern information of an optical head 6 or the information indicating the feature group extracted from this pattern information is compared and collated with the standard pattern information being the contents of the buffer memory 9. As a result the information indicating whether both may be identified as the same or not is returned to the control part 5. |
