3-amino-4-homo:isotwistane as an antiviral agent - for diseases caused by herpes and influenza viruses

An antiviral for the treatment of infections diseases caused by Herpes or Influenza viruses contains 3-amino-4-homoisotwistane (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of (I), together with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. (I) have very strong antiviral properties, being far more effective than Tromantadin. Suitable daily doses for oral or subcutaneous administration are 100-500 pref. 200 mg. and intravenous 10-50, pref. 10mg. The LD50 is 300mg/kg. p.o and 32mg/kg.
