PURPOSE:To provide an easy operation of a tilting steering handwheel at adjusting time with sufficient tightening strength by providing a threaded bush having threads on the outer surface with tightening lever, a hub nut and clamping bolt engaged with the bush. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a cup-shaped threaded bush 10 formed with threads 9 on the outer peripheral surface thereof, a tightening lever 11 formed integrally with the bush 10, and a hub nut 12 screwed with a screw 9 and seated on one side of a stationary bracket 1. Thus, the angular seat side surface 12a of the nut 12 is connected to a turn stopper member 13 secured to the side surface of the bracket 1. A bolt 14 is further provided through the bush 10, stationary and movable brackets 1, 3 and pressing pipe 8, and screwed at one head 15 with the inner bottom surface of the bush 10 and at the other with a nut 16 to be thus seated on the bracket 1. Thus, it can provide an easy operation of the tilting steering handwheel at adjusting time with sufficient tightening strength. |
