PURPOSE:To operate the mixing of additives smoothly and uniformly without using any special stirring and mixing equipment, by operating the supply of additives to sludge in transit from several places in the tangential direction with respect to the direction of flow. CONSTITUTION:For a sludge transport line 1, tanks 2 and 10 for additives, for example, coagulants or solidifiers, are provided. From tanks 2 and 10, pipings 4A- 4C, 12A-12C, which are equipped with pumps 3A-3C, 11A-11C and check valves 5A-5C, 13A-13C, are connected to the line at supply positions 6A-6C, 14, in such a manner that opening 7 is directed toward the lower stream side of the direction of flow 8 and at the same time toward the tangential direction of transport pipe 9. By this, coagulants are supplied from pipings 4A-4C located in the tangential direction with respect to the sludge flowing in transport pipe 9, and thereby the mixing of additives is performed smoothly. |
