<p>The increased injection pressure does not require additional application of force by the syringe operator. The syringe is provided with a twin handle actuator. One handle is fixed to the main piston rod which displaces the syringe piston. The second handle is fixed to a secondary rod, co-axial with the first, which can plunge a punch into the mass of liq. to be injected. The main piston rod pref. contains the secondary rod. The exterior of the main piston rod is pref. serrated to engage a non-return catch on the body of the syringe. The second handle is pref. spaced axially from the first by a leaf spring. The punch is advanced to plunged through the rubber piston of a capsule and pressurise its liq. only when injection back pressure pushes the handles together. If pressure drops, the spring parts the handles and withdraws the punch through the rubber piston. Provides a light-weight, compact syringe which is very easily handled and provides high pressure injection for ligaments etc. without increased effort.</p> |
