PURPOSE:To obtain musical sounds of rich timbers by providing a means of amplitude-modulating frequency signals with the waveform signals changing with time from the key touching time. CONSTITUTION:The transmission signals from VCO 16 are level-, i.e., amplitude- envelope-controlled in a VCA 17 and the evelope waveforms thereof are set in an envelope generating circuit 21. This envelope generating circuit 21 is controlled by the keying signal KON from a key device 11 and generates the waveform signals of levels changing with time which attack rise from, e.g., the key touching time, sustain thereafter at the sustain level and fall and attenuate from key releasing. In correspondence to the envelope waveforms thereof, the frequency modulation depth of the sound source signal being generated from the VCO 13 changes. |
