Piezoelectric fuel igniter - has drive to element taken from motor actuating fuel valve

The fuel igniter is for a heat source with a motor-operated valve in the fuel pipe to the burner, having an ignition electrode and a piezo-electric element. The drive (13) to the element is taken from the motor (8) of the fuel valve (6, 3). The element (12) can be mounted in a gas chamber (4) in the fuel pipe (2), and with the drive above the valve plug (6) in the path of the gas, being directly linked to the plug. The motor can be arranged to impart a pulsating movement ot it. The design avoids any need for hand operation.
