The shock absorber for hydrostatic drives has relatively simple design and ensures soft damping. A cylinder with a piston has end connectors with restrictor valves. Liq. entry is free but the outlet is restricted. The connections at the cylinder ends can be arranged to be axial or at right angles to the cylinder axis. The restrictor valves can be adjusted and the floating piston travel can be limited.
