<p>The present invention provides a method of fixing a fish as to the position thereof in a fish processing machine in which the fish is held by means of at least one pin, the pin having a pre-determined position relative to processing members of the machine and being pressed into at least one of the eyes of the fish. The present invention also provides a machine for fixing a fish as to the position thereof in a fish processing machine comprising at least one member for processing the fish, members for feeding the fish towards and past the processing members and members for fixing the fish as to the position thereof relative to the processing members during the processing, the position fixing members comprising at least one pin movable in the feeding direction of the fish, the pin being adapted for piercing at least one of the eyes of the fish and thereby hold the fish with said eye in a predetermined position.</p> |
