PURPOSE:To obtain a discharge type gas laser characterized by a smooth gas flow and a low cost by making the gas flow through large gaps between the thin plates of an electrode. CONSTITUTION:Thin plates 3 are arranged in a cathode 2 of an electrode on the side of grounding with a gap (L) being provided. The lower parts of the plates are linked together with a member 4. Gas is accelerated with a fan and made to flow through the large gaps (L) between the thin plates 3 of the cathode 2 of the electrode on the grounding side. The fresh gas is always supplied between the electrodes. The gas is made to be the laminar flows along the partitioning walls through the gaps between the thin plates 3. |
