The bolt, for glass windows composed of two panes which can slide parallel to one another consists of a hub fixed into a hole in one of the panes and secured by a nut (5). The hub is traversed by a sliding shaft operated by a push button acting against a compression spring. The shaft serves to bolt the windows when the button is pushed in. The window is unbolted by a turning button (25) which acts as the bearing for the push button and is connected to a tensioned elastic spring (24) which has its other end connected to the hub.
