<p>The safety valve is for mechanisms driven by a medium under pressure, particularly a press brake or clutch. Two individual valves in a housing are connected in parallel and typically solenoid operated, and each has a piston and a plug controlling the connection between the inlet, the mechanism served, and the return. The two plugs are each guided in a bore in the housing and the bores are interconnected by two passages crossing over each other. Each passage can run from the upstream end of one bore to the downstream one of the other, to a point short of the seat against which the respective plug works.</p> |
