PURPOSE:A laser beam is irradiated onto a butt portion of Ni-plated electronic parts or the like to form a hemispherical raised bead, whereby weld operation is regulated so that the final solidification of molten metal occurs at the bead center thereby to obtain air-tight welded zone. CONSTITUTION:A Ni-plated Ni-Fe alloy member A and the like is butted with a Ni-Fe-Co alloy member B and the like. A laser beam 3 center is projected at a location of the butt portion about 0.05-0.1 mm closer to the A member to form a hemispherical raised bead on a welding zone 1. The process eliminates the segregation of Ni-plate composition at the butt portion, causes molten metal to solidify lastly at the center 5 of the bead portion and provides a sound weld bead free of crack generation. |
