PURPOSE:To improve chip flow and to reduce the effect of heat-deformation by conveying pallets upright. CONSTITUTION:Pallets are turned upright by means of turning device 15. Pallet 14 is moved on feed units and jigs, 9, 5, 10, 6, 11, 7, 12, 8, 13, from feed unit 9 to feed unit 13, with distance between feed unit and pallet-fitting-jig up to 1 pitch, and each specified mechnical processing is operated on the work lying on the pallet at each of fitting-jigs 5-8. Upon completion of each stage of processing, the pallet is released from the fitting-jig, and the pallet lying on the feed unit together with that on the succeeding unit are sent as a set to the next feed unit and fitting- jig. The foremost of the pallets is pulled to turning device 18 by means of pull-in device 17, and then it is turned horizontal and is sent back to the above-described turning unit 15. |
