MULTI-TASK PROCESSING SYSTEM

摘要

PURPOSE:To decrease the program quantity and at the same time to improve the availability of a data processor by carrying out directly such operations given to a document as a whole as printing, registering and editing jobs through the windows of each individual task. CONSTITUTION:When a layout editing task 21 and an area editing task 22a are carried out by a CPU 1, the windows of each task are displayed on a display 6. Then just the single one of the displayed windows is selected and the editing instruction of a user is given to the task that displays the selected window. Thus the relevant task is processed. The task 21 starts a new area editing task 22b when an editing process is started. Then plural areas are simultaneously edited. Both tasks 21 and 22 are processed based on the instructions of users and at the same time start a common task 30 for request of the due process.
