<p>PURPOSE: To provide a generator capable of super-high speed rotation, by applying a pre-stress to an outer ring means so that it can withstand the regular maximum centrifugal force applied to a rotor element. CONSTITUTION: An engagement of a pocket between a magnet 6 and the rim 18 of a hub 16 is maintained by an outer ring means 24 comprising an internal aluminum ring 26 and an external carbon fiber ring 28 to which a pre-stressed overall assembly is applied. The aluminum ring 26 of a final rotor stage is compressed in the radial direction in order to maintain a compression load against centrifugal force generated by rotation in all rotor speeds in the external surface of the magnet 6. Tensile force for holding the magnet 6 on the hub 16 is given by the carbon fiber ring 28. Also, the aluminum ring 26 attenuates vibrations or resonance generated in the magnet 6 and a soft layer is put respectively between the magnet 6 and the fiber ring 28, so that the concentration of a stress generated in the corner of the magnet 6 is relaxed by a partial recess.</p> |
