The new quaternised polymers are of formulae: <IMAGE> or <IMAGE> in which A1, B1, R'2, A2 and X have the meanings given in Claim 1, or of formula <IMAGE> in which A3, Z and X have the meanings given in Claim 1. These polymers are prepared by polycondensation of the corresponding ditertiary amines and dihalides. They are usable in cosmetic compositions.
