PURPOSE:To eliminate a cause of lower precision in advance characteristic without losing an advantage of press fit tightening method of good workability, by preventing the shavings at the time of press fit operation from filling to choke an engagement part. CONSTITUTION:A level difference 83 is constructed on surfaces of a timing lever 8 from a side of cam shaft to be press fitted, by a method of press work, throughout the whole circumference of side edge of the cam shaft press fit engagement hole 82, for a cam shaft end 74, in the timing lever 8. In case of operating a press fit work of shaft end 71 of a cam 7 into the center engagement hole 82 of the timing lever 8, the shavings, produced by an intrusion of the shaft end 71 into a knurl formed on inner surfaces of the engagement hole 82, will be accommodated by an air gap part due to the level difference 83, avoiding a demage to the mating precision. |
