Assembled writing for korean phonograms, Han-gul, were printed in dot type by using a printing head having nine printing wires. When horizontal vowels and final consonants are printed, the carriage is moved forward only after the printing head was first moved back to the initial position. Especially in printing the finals, the most effective method is acquired by using 5 of 9 print wires in the low position, provided that paper is raised 5 dots.
