The shuttering core is for the construction of prefabricated garages etc., having sidewalls movable for a limited distance at right angles to their main surfaces, and an end wall. Each wall (11, 12) comprises top (14, 15) and bottom (16, 17) sections overlapping each other, and sliding vertically over each other at the overlapping portions while continuing to bear against each other. The top sections can overlap the bottom ones, and to form the end wall (13) the side ones can have sections (18-21) extending at right angles and overlapping each other. A top end wall section can have a vertical guide, sealed aginst the ingress of concrete, for a bottom section, and also a horizontal guide (23), similarly sealed, for the adjacent end wall top section.
