<p>PURPOSE:To avoid the choking of reproduced Braun tube and the lowering in vacuum, by controlling the flow of air through the provision of barrier in the vacuum vessel, stopping the vent after the start of air blow, and holding the tube clean. CONSTITUTION:The barrier 25 in funnel shape is placed in the vacuum vessel 20 and a number of nozzle holes 31 are provided so that they are close to the neck 4 and they are turned around it. First, the Braun tube having a crack 19 in advance is mounted in the vessel 20 with the support 21 and the neck 4 is removed by operating the vent system 22. Next, when clean gas is blown down from the holes 31, the flow of gas circulates between the bottom of the vessel 20 and the barrier 25, preventing the intrusion of glass fine chip 35 into the tube and the tube is kept clean. Further, to prevent the invasion of external air from the funnel 3 and the support 31 from the contact part, the vent system 22 is stopped after flowing-in gas and the vacuum in lowering after reproduction can be avoided. Then, it is more effective if nitrogen or carbonic acid gas is used as gas.</p> |
