<p>The autoclave has a chamber which is basically rectangular in cross section, with a door each end. The bottom of the chamber slopes downwards gradually towards the centre, along its longitudinal axis, with a gutter underneath. The casing of the chamber has three hollow rectangular section duct passing completely around its outside, through which steam is fed. The two end doors each slide downwards guided by vertical members at the lower level. At the level of the housing, the doors are guided between grooved blocks projecting beyond the open ends.</p> |
