A yarn storage device from which the yarn could be fed with very little and constant tension to the knitting machine was composed of a storage drum(10) on which yarn could be wound tangentially, a circular plate(14) which could control rotational motor, and a retarding ring(2)) which could guide yarn axially. The device could prevent unleveled knitting.
