PURPOSE:To grind parts, such as car doors, after completion of putty coating, by a mechanical device, consisting of a gata-shaped column fitted with a travel mechanism, and a griding pad fitted with a drive mechnism. CONSTITUTION:Gate-shaped column 1 is placed on bed 2 and is moved in X-direction by electric drive mechanism 3. Grinding pad 13 is fitted on grinding head 9. It can be moved in Y-direction along guide 4 and also in Z-direction by cylinder 10. Object 15 to be ground is fixed to head 14. As rotating grinding pad 13 moves in X- direction, Y-direction and Z- direction, the object is ground evenly with a fixed pressure exerted on it in accordance with its depressions and projections. |
