PURPOSE:To positively unfold a preliminary twice-folded paper material for improving packaging ability for a film by the use of unfolding means for initiating unfolding of free ends of the preliminary twice-folded and perforated paper material. CONSTITUTION:A paper material from a roll 1 of paper material is passed through a guide roller 3 and triangular plate 4 to be two fold, the direction of the movement of the paper material being changed by an angle of 90 deg.. While conveyed, the paper material is provided with perforations m by cutter drums 6, 7 with the distance between the perforaions being the same as the size of width of the folded paper material, then engages a nose 10a, and is conveyed with free ends 15 being unfolded by a separating guide 10. The paper material is cut at the perforation ml by cutting rollers 9, which are rotating to pull the paper material at a circumferential speed higher than the conveying speed of the paper material, into a holding paper 13 capable of packaging a film. Due to the engagement of the holding paper 13 with the guide 10, the holding paper 13 is unfolded enough by upper and lower guides 11, 12 during the holding paper 13 is conveyed, and the holding paper 13 with the film inserted is conveyed to a depositing station. |
