Sulphur di:oxide and nitrogen oxide removal from waste gases - using wash liq. contg. calcium cpd., carboxylic acid and azide, esp. hydrazine

Removal of SO2 and N oxides from waste gases, esp. from fossil-fuel power stations, comprises using carboxylic acids as additives to the calcium ion-contg. wash liq., as in the Parent patent. The process is improved by using as azide, esp. hydrazine, as further additive. This increases the amt. of N oxides removed.
