Vehicle stabiliser bearing block - has composite sealing ring with two split end rings connected by cross bar

The bearing block suitable for a vehicle stabiliser has a housing made of e. g. polyurethane with an end cap (2) and a groove to hold and locate a U shaped anchorage (3) for bolting down. Inside are end grooves (6) to hold a composite sealing ring (7, 8). This consists of two rings (7) spaced apart by a connecting bar (8). Each ring is split, and has its ends interconnected by a hook at one end and a recess at the other. Each ring has lips which face inwards, and the connecting bar similarly has an inwardly facing sealing lip. Seen in plan, the composite seal is H shaped.
