<p>PURPOSE:To accomplish the replacement of a flat bearing satisfactorily by means of a protruded section provided on the side of the base where the flat bearing is set in a manipulator having a flat bearing contacting with a ram for moving a side girder while mutually sliding therewith. CONSTITUTION:In this manipulator, a device adapted to rotate an ingot is mounted to a ram 4 made drivable lengthwise on he drive side thereof. The ram 4 is supported with a flat bearing 24 mounted on the top of the based 23 set on the foundation. Here, to facilitate the replacement of the flat bearing 24, a projected section 3 is installed integral to the side of the base 23. In incorporating the flat bearing 24, the flat bearing 24 carried with a crane through a wire rope 28 is placed on the protrude section 30. Under such a condition, the flat bearing is horizontally pressed to the mount position on the base 23 with a human force and then, fixed with a bolt 27.</p> |
