Castor wheel with central bearing - spaced from wheel by positively held moulded plastics

A wheel, partic. a castor, has a bearing in a housing spaced concentrically within a wheel central hole, the space being filled with synthetic resin which is positively secured in the space to hold wheel and bearing together. The resin may be rigid or elastomeric, and may be ABS. The bearing is pref. located between an axle and a cylindrical sleeve which may be rigid or may be an elastomer with a hardness of 75 Shore A to 55 Shore D. The resin is pref. positively held by ribs on the sleeve and/or wheel extending radially into the space.
