Radio repeater for FM communications system - converts first intermediate frequency signal to higher frequency and then divides it by given factor before further conversion upwards

The radio repeater station, for FM communications systems, uses a second IF signal from the receiver as source for the outgoing signal. The first IF signal produced in the first mixer (14) is converted (24) to a higher frequency and divided by a given factor (16). It is then amplified (17) and passed to a third mixer (18) for conversion to a very high frequency. The resulting signal is multiplied by the same factor as that by which it was divided. The resulting signal is then transmitted in a band displaced w.r.t. the recieve band.
