The starting point is a bonding implement with a rotatably arranged and driven take-off roll (2), by means of which an adhesive tape (3) coated on one side with adhesive can be drawn off from a stock roll, with a rotatably arranged and driven drum which holds the adhesive tape on the non-adhesive side by means of a suction device, and with a separating device (6) acting onto the adhesive tape on the drum. To allow a faster repair with better protection of the film, the drum of the bonding implement has, on its mainly cylindrical periphery (11), at least one flattening (10), and the web-shaped material (13) can be passed through without contact between this flattening (10) of the drum (4) and a counter-pressure roll (12) which is arranged parallel to the axis thereof and is at a distance from the flattening (10) but is in contact with the cylindrical periphery (11). In this way, adhesive bonding is also possible without a standstill of the material to be repaired. <IMAGE>
