Levorine sodium salt prepn

摘要

Levorine sodium salt is produced by suspending levorine in aq. organic medium pref. 80% aq. acetone, and reacting with aq. caustic soda soln. at elevated temp. (40-42 degrees C in the case of the preferred medium), and precipitating product with 98% acetone. Specific activity of product is higher than 25000 units/mg. Product is an antibiotic use in medicine and agriculture.
