<p>PURPOSE:To make back tension of tape constant by back-tension-servo-driving reels through viscous clutches. CONSTITUTION:The torque of a motor 12 is transmitted to a take-up reel 12 via viscous clutch 4 by a tension pulley 14. At the same time, the torque transmitted to the clutch 4 by idlers 5, 6 is fed back to a viscous clutch 3 and the torque of an opposite polarity is transmitted to a feed reel 1, whereby the tape is back-tension- servo-driven. Hence, if the transmission ratio of the feedback, the torque, etc. of the cluches 3, 4 are selected, the back tension being applied on the tape becomes constant and the table runs stably without causing wow and flutter, etc.</p> |
