The magazine (35) supports a series of expandable bits of different sizes and may be demployed with a tube-expanding tool. Each bit comprises a head-flanged cylindrical block which has been drilled axially and split radially into segments. The magazine comprises an elongated plate (36) with similar circular holes (37) at intervals and capable of attachment to the tool. Each hole receives the barrel of a bit which is retained by its flange. The first hole (38) of the magazine may locate the mandrel-guide with mandrel and hand-lever. The guide is externally threaded to screw into a bit-retaining sleeve to give a demountable assembly of the magazine, the guide, the sleeve and the bit during use.
