The small semiconductor rectifier consists of a stack of rectifier plates and a metal case. The stack rests on the middle of the case bottom, with the case sides holding the plates and a flat leaf spring together. The case provides a connection between the top and bottom of the stack. The case (4) bottom (4a) is flat and an insulating clearance (d) is provided between the sides of the rectifier plates (1) and the case sides (4b). This clearance is produced by the leaf spring (3) which is wider than the rectifier plates.
