A programmable pocket calculator has an arithmetic section (1) with inputs connected to a keyboard (2) for manual input of numbers on program instructions and is partic. applicable to currency exchange calculators with ranging exchange rates. It is designed for simple operation, small size, and simple economical mfr. Exchange rates may be entered as well as function demands and operands. A frequency divider (3) supplies a clock input to the arithmetic section (7) and another output to a counter (4) whose outputs successively show pulses synchronised with the input pulses and drive analogue switches connected to the arithmetic unit.
