The machine is for aligning stacks of sheet metal stampings with holes or notches used for armatures of electric machines. The aligning machine has its effective part (16) fitted with several aligning mandrels (18). The mandrels are on the same radii as the holes or notches of the stampings. The bases (20) the mandrels (18) are movable in a guide assembly with an axis positioned obliquely in such a way that during the vibration a peripheral component is obtained. The axes of the mandrels are positioned in a tangential plane in relation to the centering axis of the stack.
