<p>A process for improving the properties of a bitumen which comprises mixing the bitumen with from about 5 to 20% by weight based on the bitumen, of a polyolefin wax at an elevated temperature for a period of time necessary to form a homogeneous mixture. The modified bitumen is particularly useful as a binder in asphalt to be used for casting.</p> |
