16α, 17α(cyclopentylidenedloxy)-9-fluoro11β, 21-dihydroxypregna-1, 4-diene-3, 20-dione-21-acetate, an effective antiinflammatory compd., was prepd. by reaction of triamcinolone with HC103 and cyclopentanone followed by treatment with pyridine and acetic anhydride. Formulations for antiinflammatory creams, ointments, and lotions contg. this compd. were reported.
