PURPOSE:To eliminate a ghost without using a fixed delay line, by providing a magnetic-field applying method close to a signal propagation path. CONSTITUTION:This device is composed of variable delay line 6, inverter 7 with a level adjusting function, and adder 8, and an input signal is divided into two signals having passed through variable delay line 6 and inverter 7 with the level adjusting funcftion, which are added again together by adder 8. A signal inputted to variable delay line 6, when the time between picture signal 9 and ghost signal 10 and one horizontal sweep time of a television are denoted by (tg) and IH respectively, is given time lag IH+tg and then phase-inverted by inverter 7 to be ghost concel signal 11', thereby canceling ghost signal 10'. |
