An adhesive composition, particularly for use in securing a railroad rail, has a viscosity of from 100 to 300 poises at 150 DEG C and comprises a specified quantity of a bituminous substance (having a softening point in the range of from 75 DEG C to 100 DEG C and a penetration value in the range of from 10 to 50) and a smaller amount of an elastomer, and of a processing oil having a specified viscosity and flash point. |
