1476879 Slide-casting machine PARAISTEN KALKKI OY-PARGAS KALK AB 26 March 1975 [29 March 1974] 12737/75 Heading B5A In a slide casting machine for concrete moving on wheels over a horizontal bed, the concrete is fed on to the bed by at least two horizontally extending feed screws, there being a horizontally extending mandrel or partition arranged between the or each pair of screws, and vibrators mounted within the or each mandrel or partition and also vibrators external to the cast concrete. The mandrels or partitions have a greater extent than the screws. Between the screws (as shown at A-A in Fig. 4) each mandrel or partition 18e follows the shape of the screws 3f, 3d to define a trough having a base slot 14 through which concrete drops on to a base-plate. Beyond the ends of the screws (as at C-C) each mandrel or partition 6c is of circular, square or other cross-section (see Fig. 6, which shows partitions 7g, 7h defining I-section beams), and surrounds a vibrator 22. The intermediate cross-section 5d is shown at B-B. The axes of the screws are higher than those of the mandrels or partitions. The machine carries curved side plates 21 adjacent the screws, which receive concrete that drops from a hopper (1) (Fig. 1, not shown). The upper surface of the concrete is vibrated by a horizontal plate (11). |
