The connector, for circuit boards, consists of a one-piece dielectric block with a slot right along one edge to accommodate the edge of the circuit board. The slot contains spring contact fingers (462, 464) that touch the board edge contact pads. It contains a screw (472, 476). Each pair of spring contacts is part of a screw terminal located on the other long edge of the block and with which a U-shaped contact tag attached to the end of a connection wire is clamped. Each spring contact pair and its associated screw terminal is separated from its neighbour by a partition. |
