<p>The medical infusion flask has its contents discharged under pressure by using a gas bottle (10). This is regulated so that gas under pressure is delivered to a pressure bag enclosing the infusion flask, which is of resilient material so that the contents are forced out in a regulated manner. The bottle is inside a tube (6) with a cap (7) which is screwed down until a spike (13) inside pierces the top, and the gas enters a chamber (16) for discharge past a ball valve (22) with a ball carrier portion (23) which is forced inwards by a spring (25). When the spring pressure is overcome, the gas enters the discharge outlet (18) to the pressure bag. The spring pressure is regulated by a second cap (8) on the tube.</p> |
