PURPOSE:To realize automated fare adjustment task in a station by transmitting the content of a ticket to the operator of the central adjustment apparatus with the aid of an image pickup means such as a television camera. CONSTITUTION:When a customer requiring fare adjustment steps on a stepboard 6, the signal is sent to an automatic selection device 3, so that a terminal adjustment machine 1 and a central adjustment apparatus 2 are coupled together. In consequence, in the terminal adjustment machin 1, television cameras 5, 8 are powered, while in the central adjustment apparatus 2, the name of the station of arrival is displayed in a station name display unit 11. When a ticket 4 is photographed by television camera 5 and displayed in a ticket monitor 12, the operator in the central adjustment apparatus 2 reads the fare adjustment information from the ticket 4 and inputs it into the information processor 16 to demand the fare adjustment. The amount to balance the fare is displayed in the fare display unit 7 provided in the terminal adjustment machine 1. Seeing this display, the customer throws the amount of money required into a processor 9. Thus, fare adjustment is completed. |
