PURPOSE:To secure easy output of the linear polarization by securing a cross with the Brewster's angle between the center axis of the resonator and the edge face opposing to the inside of the peripheral unit of the mirror substrate and then forming a mirror to the edge face opposing to the outside respectively. CONSTITUTION:Mirror substrate 2 is attached airtight to peripheral unit 1 via sealing material 3. Substrate edge face 2a opposing to the inside of unit 1 features an angle through which the laser beam 4 enters with the Brewster's angle, and mirror 2c is formed on edge face 2b of the opposite side. In other words, beam 4 enters to face 2a with the Brewster's angle to be refracted, and is then reflected with mirror 2c formed vertically to beam 4 to be then fed back through the same optical path. Thus, the laser oscillation is produced. Furthermore, beam 4 turns to the linearly polarized light since beam 4 enters face 2a with the Brewster's angle, thus omitting the polarizing filter or the Brewster window. |
