The manipulator comprises a table (1) on which two guides (3, 5) arranged at a distance from one another are held. Displaceable along the guides is a slide (7) to which a pressure-cylinder power unit (13) is attached in such a way that a cylinder (11) projects from the slide (7) in the displacement direction of the slide. The piston rod (15) of the pressure-cylinder power unit (13) acts on the table (1). The cylinder (11) of the pressure-cylinder power unit (13) forms a torsionally rigid supporting arm, on whose free end remote from the slide (7) a holding device (23) is held. <IMAGE>
