PURPOSE:To achieve the inprovement in squeezing effect by minimizing the liquid path created by the surface tension of liquid between the outside crcumference of other squeeze roller and the end face of one squeeze roller. CONSTITUTION:Since its substantially difficult owing to variations in working accuracy to make the lenghts of a pair of squeeze rolles 32, 34 mutually equal and align their end faces the length of one roller 34 is made shorter with respect to the length of the other roller 32 within the minimum of a permissible variation range and a conical recess 50 is provided in the end face of the roller 34. The conical shape of said resess 50 is made conical by leaving a wall thickness (t) on the roller outside crcumference on the end face of the roller and it is desirable that said wall thickness (t) be as amall as possible and for praticablity, e. g., about 0.5 mm is suitable. Provision of the recess 50 in the end face of one roller 34 in this way enables the liquid pool produced on the roller outlet side to be considerably reduced and squeezing to be made more sufficient. |
